As part of a comprehensive and balanced curriculum within Victorian schools, home learning is one way of supporting and fostering life-long learning and connecting families with the learning of their children.
It is important for children to have a balanced lifestyle which includes sufficient time for family, sport and recreation as well as cultural pursuits.
At Craigieburn Primary School, home learning provides opportunities to practice skills learned in their classroom. Parents can support their child by developing a positive approach to home learning, reading with them, talking with them and involving them in learning opportunities during everyday household routines.
Teachers have set tasks for your child that they may complete at home. The home learning activities that are set are related to what is being taught in the classroom. Additional home learning tasks may be arranged by the classroom teacher as well as listed on the school website.
